Ms Shirley Pipitone – Public Officer

Shirley is principal of a landscape architecture practice in which she places a strong emphasis on environmental sensitivity, and is currently researching factors underlying Australians' interest in the Australian landscape and the development of a community sense of place. She has previously worked as a psychologist, and in human relations policy and industrial relations as Senior Advisor to the ACT Chief Ministers Department, the Australian Department of Industrial Relations and CSIRO. In 2009 Shirley was commissioned by the National Trust ACT to undertake a study of the social value of Lake Burley Griffin and its surrounds.
